A 3 years old girl from a poor family was brought to the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) in Luanda by her mother – asking for assistance after her baby was accidentally severely burnt with oil.
The FEMERAID Africa Medical Team of KMFAP – through the dedicated and effective work of Sir Dr. Rui Araújo, José Carlos Silva, Nurse Joao Batista and Sir Dr. Nuno Cosmelli – took good care of the child, who received intense intravenous and fluid therapy and a good bath. The mother was asked to bring the child back to our Embassy in the coming three weeks for twice a day treatment…
