On the 9th of April, 2010, in Budapest, H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP), Dr. Károly András Nagy and the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Moscow, Mr. Ibrahim V. Kondoh undersigned a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of their Governments.

Besides the mutual recognition of the Parties and the establishment of the official bilateral relations, the MoU created the special institutional framework of activity and the official representation of KMFAP in Sierra Leone.
