The Magisterial House of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP) has the pleasure of informing that our Damsel Kate Shephard  won Gold prize at the Global Dance competition in Spain.

The competition was Global Dance Open (GDO) 2023 Finals in Ávila, Spain with about 1500 dancers competing from across the globe. Damsel Nina Shephard – Kate's sister – danced Jazz with her group, while Damsel Kate danced Hip Hop with her group. Kate took 1st place. 

Global Dance Open is a unique dance competition experience made up of 39 country qualifiers leading to 1 global finals. GDO provides equal standard and opportunities across all styles of dance, such as: Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, National/Folklore, Hip Hop & Commercial, Tap, Showdance & Musical Theatre.

Our Squires and Damsels often give us all – as in this case – good reasons to be proud of having such a valuable and talented group of future Knights and Dames, assuring us that the future of our Sovereign Order and of our State is more than guaranteed.
