KMFAP Humanitarian Activities in Suriname – New Projects

Sir Ordiano Ramin Saeroon, Knight of Malta – our first member from Suriname – started his humanitarian work by organising a social project with his team in an Indian village. It was a successful project where the villagers had the opportunity to have their blood sugar level and blood pressure measured.
Sir Ordiano and his team members also held some sessions on all these topics, as well as on the dangers of alcohol and drug use, etc. Finally, the physiotherapist did his part to keep them in shape. In addition, the children had a wonderful time during this project with snacks and drinks and some games in the open field, too. This project was made possible with own resources and with the support of some sponsors. “That is what a true hospitaller knight is about. I am very happy and honoured to join the KMFAP. Best wishes and blessings from Suriname.” – added Sir Ordiano.

The second humanitarian event in Suriname was held with the intention of “helping the elderly with dementia”. Healthy meals were prepared for a group of 40 to 50 senior citizens in one of the institutions Sir Ordiano and his team visited. They had warm encounters and great moments with the nurses and the elderly, with whom they had the opportunity to play some memory games. Then, an instructor did some gymnastics with the group. There were also some dance entertainment breaks.
